Adoption curve
It is important to remember that the curve is derived from agricultural research, in which they've studied how farmers adopt new ideas: [[literature/@beal1956THE DIFFUSION PROCESS|@beal1956THE DIFFUSION PROCESS]]. There's a correlation between age, educational level, and the position in the curve, for example.
I wonder if there's updated information on the adoption curve for other industries, or if this is still the only serious source of truth.
