Since we are bad at estimating, there is a SCRUM technique that allows to come up with numbers without anchoring on each others' answers.

Each participant gets cards with Fibonacci numbers: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, Skip

For each task, all participants flip a card with a value at the same time. They can be used to select how hard a task is, how long it would take, etc.

If all the selections are within 2 cards, they are averaged out, if not the most divergent ones are discussed and the process is played again.
