Science education could focus on understanding the world around people
Scientific literacy means that people can develop intellectual tools to understand the reality around them.
Topics such as climate change, overexploitation, health, can be better addressed by proper scientific literacy.
However, having methods for better thinking can expand to other areas, such as generating more inclusive societies.
