Measuring size of evs with confocal microscopy
To measure size using fluorescence of extracellular vesicles, it is possible to measure the total intensity emitted intensity of each particle, which should be proportional to the surface area[@hartjes2020EVQuant; high-throughput quantification and characterization of extracellular vesicle (sub)populations]. However, the microscope must be carefully calibrated in order to produce reliable results.
