Reasons why scientists are not entrepreneurs

<p>There may be several reasons why a scientists does not become an entrepreneur, some of them are[<a class="litnote tooltip" href="/literature/@ianuzzi2017">@ianuzzi2017<span class="tooltiptext">Entrepreneurship for Physicists</span></a>]</p> <ul> <li>Lack of awareness</li> <li>Lack of motivation</li> <li>Lack of know-how</li> </ul> <p>Although I agree with the premise, I think it neglects the fact that not every researcher <em>can</em> be an entrepreneur, simply because they don't have an idea that can be brought to market. Not all research is readily translatable, and the <a class="wikilink" href="/technology_transfer/">technology transfer</a> process can't simply start.</p>
