How to Build Links Between Notes

, the most important feature that notes should have are links between them. This is what transforms isolated pieces of knowledge into ideas. However, deciding what to link in a note is hard. I could add links to words or sentences, sometimes I already know that extra piece of information exists. But, does the actual connection between the notes make any sense? Do I want a reader (or myself) to actually flow bidirectionally between these two ideas just because they exist?
