Leukemia and Lymphoma are blood malignancies that affect people of any age and result in 23000 deaths in the US alone[@li2022Description and optimization of a multiplex bead-based flow cytometry method (MBFCM) to characterize extracellular vesicles in serum samples from patients with hematological malignancies]. Acute myeloid, lymphoid, or chronic lymphoid leukemia are clonal diseases with uncontrolled proliferation of myeloid or lymphoid leukemic cells.

The cells can be identified by Flow Cytometry. The response of the immune system can be monitored by looking at hormones, B-Cells derived antibodies, circulating nucleic acids, and extracellular vesicles.
