Imaging flow cytometer

The idea is that to increase the integration time of particles flowing through a flow cytometer, you can use a camera in which the rows move in a synchronized way with the flow. Effectively, this means the camera can integrate the signal over a longer time as compared with a standard point-detector.

This technique is commercialized by Luminex. The device includes plenty of engineering to make self-aligning, cleaning, and calibrating.
